What’s in Zoe’s skincare regime?

As a representative of a skin health brand and an advocate of cosmeceutical skincare products, I’m asked regularly what I use on my skin. This week I’m going to let you delve into my skincare bag and see what my favourite products are to keep my skin looking fresh, healthy and glowing!

Cleanse – ZENii Rosehip cleanser AM & PM: This is a gel-based cleanser which I prefer, as I find it’s much better than foaming cleansers at removing make up. The rosehip oil is especially good at increasing hydration in the skin as I find some cleansers to be drying. There is also the added benefit of the vitamin A, C & E which aid in softening the surface dead skin cells and give an extra healthy glow.

Cost – £35
Size – 120ml
Lasts me – 3 months using 1 pump 3 times/day

Exfoliate – ZO Exfoliating polish AM: I love to feel a good scrub on my face and exfoliating polish from ZO provides the perfect level of gritty abrasion for me. I’ve tried the level up to this in the ZO medical range (vitascrub) but found it to be too much, Madi however uses it religiously! The magnesium crystals remove dead skin cells to reduce dullness and prevent clogged pores, it will also aid in the penetration of other products I apply following it.

Cost – £55
Size – 65g
Lasts – 5 months using it 2-3/per week

Oil control – ZO Complexion renewal pads AM: If I was stuck on a desert island and could only take 1 product with me it would be this. I suffer with an oily T-Zone, especially around my nose and the oil control pads are amazing at reducing oil production. It’s Salicylic and Glycolic acid formulation helps to reduce oil and congestion on the surface of the skin and within the pores, leaving my skin feeling clean and smooth. It also gets the skin to the perfect PH level to allow for the optimum penetration of the products I apply immediately following this.

Cost – £45
Size – 60 pads
Lasts – 60 days as I only use them once a day in the morning

Eye serum – Perk eyes AM & PM: I give myself a Perk treatment every month, it’s the best product I’ve found for fine lines and dark circles around my eyes. As part of the treatment you have a take home serum which you use every day. I have tried lots of eye creams but found them to be too thick, so I love that Perk is a serum with a metal roller ball, it’s really cooling and soothing to the eye area (especially after a heavy night) and makes me feel really awake. The lactic acid helps to stimulate cell turnover while the horse chestnut seed and arnica flower help to soothe, hydrate and protect.

Cost – £50
Size – 14ml
Lasts – 1 month using it twice daily

Day serum – ZENii Antioxidant power serum: Did I ever mention that I love antioxidants? I know I bang on about them a lot, but my favourite one has to be this ZENii product. Prior to this I was using a vitamin C serum, but found that it oxidised quickly and became useless, ZENii is gel based so it doesn’t have this issue. It’s also amazing value for money when compared to other products as it contains 20% L-Ascorbic acid (vitamin C), 1% vitamin E, 1% ferulic acid with added B5 for hydration & B3 which helps to reduce oil production. It soaks in nicely and gives a healthy glow, this is a real all in one for me, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an antioxidant.

Cost – £85
Size – 30ml
Lasts – 4 months when using a pea sized amount, a little goes a long way

SPF 50 – Heliocare 360 Gel oil free AM: This is the highest standard of sun protection you can get! It protects against UVA (ageing rays) and UVB (burning rays) but also HEV (high energy visible light) that is emitted from our phones and computer screens and has been proven to contribute to premature ageing! The gel-based oil free formulation makes it non-greasy and sits beautifully on my skin, it also has a slight tint to it, so I don’t need to apply make up on top, just apply and go. Heliocare is also combined with vitamin C, E & Ferulic acid for some additional antioxidant protection making it #1 on my sun protection list.

Cost – £31
Size – 50ml
Lasts – 4 months when using a pea sized amount

Evening serum – HydraFacial Antiox Plus:

In the evenings after doing a double cleanse with my rosehip cleanser to remove my make up, I keep it simple with my Perk eye serum & Antiox plus serum. It’s got a bit of everything to support my skins recovery while I sleep including antioxidants such as green tea & horse chestnut seed extract to reduce any free radical damage; Copper, Zinc & Magnesium peptides to aid in collagen formation; Hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate the skin & Tone Perfect Complex to even the skin tone and tighten the skin. It’s gel-based and I find that 1 pump manages to cover my face, neck & décolletage.
